Calculation Steps
Islamic legal rules (Fara’id) applied in this calculation.
🤲
Sadaqah & Wasiyyah — Charity for Sawāb
The deceased may direct up to ⅓ of the net estate to charity (wasiyyah). Heirs may also choose to give from their own share as voluntary sadaqah. Both continue as ongoing reward (ajr jārī) for the deceased.
Wasiyyah — Bequest to Charity (Maximum ⅓)
These amounts are taken before Fara’id distribution, from the net estate. The maximum permitted in Islam is ⅓. Scholars recommend less to avoid reducing heirs’ shares.

Voluntary Sadaqah from Heirs’ Shares
Each heir may voluntarily give from their own received share as sadaqah on behalf of the deceased. This is separate from wasiyyah and has no cap — it is a personal act of ibadah.
